Metal Finishing

Heavy metals out. Rinse water in spec.

Automated heavy metal removal and rinse control for plating, anodizing and finishing lines.

<1ppm heavy metals at discharge
0hazardous sludge
8rinse tanks per RW3
8L/min starting flow, RT3
The challenge

Precision finishing.
Complex wastewater.

Plating and finishing give critical components their durability, corrosion resistance and performance. The same chemical baths generate complex wastewater streams rich in chromium, nickel and copper, and managing them safely and cost-effectively is one of the industry’s toughest challenges.

The RT3 removes heavy metals to under 1 ppm with zero hazardous sludge. The RW3 keeps rinse tanks in spec and adds water only when needed, cutting water use, sewer costs and wastewater volume.

Metal finishing,

Which metals does Metafix remove from finishing wastewater?

Copper, chromium, nickel and silver, to under 1 ppm with the RT3.

Is there sludge to haul away?

No. The RT3 uses patented metallic-exchange media: no chemicals are dosed and no hazardous sludge is produced.

Can we cut rinse water use?

Yes. The RW3 adds water to a rinse tank only when its chemistry calls for it.

Do the RT3 and RW3 work together?

Yes. They run as one automated loop, from rinse tank to discharge-ready water.

What if our line grows?

Start at 8 L/min (2.1 gal/min) with a 4-column crate, step up to SuperPac-8 at 16 L/min (4.2 gal/min), and add crates as needed.

Do we get paid for the captured metals?

Treatment here is about compliance. Copper, chromium and nickel have little recovery value, so there is no payout on those. Silver is refined and paid out.
