Metafix introduces Wash Control, a new concept in wash water reduction and treatment incorporating replenisher-on-demand. Other wash water units operate via a batch-an-crash system, meaning they circulate a batch of water until it becomes unusable. Then the wash tanks on both the unit and the film processor have to be dumped, cleaned and refilled with fresh water. Batch-and-crash systems are time-consuming, interrupt production and are guaranteed to fail because they're on a constant downward trend to exhaustion. The Wash Control's unique software-driven system monitors processor activity and replenishes the exact amount of fresh water per film necessary for efficient washing and archival stability. There's also a bulk-replenish mode that routinely refreshes the tank. This is ideal, especially when the processor is not in use. The innovative Wash Control system continuously cleans the water by filtering it twice as it circulates between its onboard holding tank and the processor. The control system also automatically adds WashClean, an effective bio-additive that deeps the processor wash tanks virtually free from organic growth, reducing maintenance time substantially. The Wash Control is programmed to meter out spent wash water to a Metafix 10-2-1 Wash column containing MetaWool. This unique medium reduces the residual silver content to below 1 ppm. You can even print out a record from the Wash Control's downloadable database to calculate easily how much water has been saved. The unit records processor activity (films processed) and the volume of water used. The Wash Control is a powerful wash water reduction and treatment system that maintains a clean processor, saves you money and keeps you in compliance with the most stringent silver discharge regulations.
