OL-1000 specifications Back to Graphic Arts products	The Metafix ON-LINE (OL) series of fixer reduction and silver recovery systems with new state-of-the-art engineering offer both environmental and economic benefits. The OL systems are plumbed to the processor's fixer overflow and are capable of servicing up to two processors with or without circulation pumps. The OL systems reduce the silver content in the film processor's fixer tank, resulting in a more efficient fixer. This increase in efficiency enables a reduction in fixer replenishment rates by up to 50 percent. Less silver in the fixer tank also means less silver carryover to the wash water, eliminating the need to desilver the wash water before it goes down the drain. With the use of Metafix MiX eXchangers, the OL series enables users to meet the most stringent requirements for silver discharge. The Metafix OL systems monitor and record data from the silver recovery process, information that can be easily down-loaded to a hand-held printer or a PC. This enables reports to be compiled showing fixer discharge volume, process information, and more. The OL systems feature a circluation pump that maintains positive solution movement between the unit and the processor. This ensures hard, consistent, high-quality silver plating and is especially important when the processor's circulation pump goes into standby mode. Unique to the OL systems is an output bellows pump that meters spent fixer to either a secondary treatment system, a holding tank, or to the drain. The Metafix ON-LINE systems have a positive environmental impact. Reduced consumption of photo chemicals and therefore chemical waste, and a reduction in the amount of silver discharged to the drain, help to reduce the impact of film processing on the environment.
